Destroying the brand

I don't like the way this company is being run now. Does it seem to you that the leadership is unfortunately destroying the brand with its actions?

TBWA served up old fashioned, uninspiring work. Lacking any fresh insights and ideas, so it was difficult to buy into. Nike, Puma and even New Balance put their work to shame The account leadership, especially CJ and TP, are totally out of their depth. Most of the work has been taken away from them, thank goodness.

Ah, the WC campaign.

I agree, the marketing team is a mess, but that starts at the top. VF could not get buy-in to the strategic direction of the WC campaign and so it was re-briefed to TBWA at least three times. Those in the marketing team executing the campaigns are not to blame. TBWA had some good ideas that never made it to execution because VF could not get the markets & VPs aligned to her vision.

The execution of the WC campaign was painful because time simply ran out. Then look at Nike, the visual effects alone took that team a TON of time. That means that they had clear sign-off and no re-briefs.

The Global Marketing team are ineffective and always covering each other. The ad agency, The ad agency TBWA hasn't made anything decent despite the millions of $$$s it gets paid - the WC campaign was painful compared to Nike. Change is needed.
