Anyone work at OXY or have in the past? Interested in applying to a role (office role not out on the field) and am wondering if a dr-g test would be required. If so, would it be a ur--e, hair, or both? Just want to know what to expect.

I agree that it's d-mb we're still testing for weed and that alcohol is worse.
It is ridiculous to test for weed. This soft dr-g is less harmful to the mind and body than alcohol. Enough is enough. Nancy Reagan did this country a disservice with promoting her policies which harmed Americans but helped the dr-g testing companies.
No, would not recommend it. Very hostile environment, arrogant staff, poor safety culture and been close to going under several times in the last 3 years. Check up on a company before getting yourself involved. I would never have started here if I had done my due diligence, but shame on me.

If you are tentatively offered a job, you will receive a notice telling you where to go. Must do so within the timeframe or the offer may be rescinded. Usually, OXY uses a hair test and not a ur--e sample (much more difficult to cheat). They “prefer” hair samples from the scalp but for those of us who are bald, the testing center will look to take hair from other parts of your body (arms, legs, under the arm, etc).
They do have a minimum length for scalp samples but I don’t recall (you can probably find it on the internet). I recommend shampooing before you go in case you’ve been around someone who has been smoking mari--ana or other illegal substances.
You should probably not consume illegal dr-gs(including prescription dr-gs without a prescription) for 90 days. Then you can start applying and interviewing for the job. This seems obvious but your question suggests that you may not have much of a brain left.

An inch , maybe an inch and a half. Took the sample right after my acceptance.
