After 20 years with qcom retiring as a Senior Director.
I expect layoffs will happen next month and keep going until end of the year.

How do you volunteer for layoff? Do you get a package for leaving then?
I’m a volunteer as well. Just one year at Qualcomm. There are several of us short timers choosing to leave with extra benefits before the larger layoffs happen.

Appreciate his service and say thank you for his contribution. He must have not become Sr Dir just like that. At every level there are people who may not be doing anything. I know engineers, Sr engineers, staff, Sr staff.. list go on who doesn't do anything and survive based on managers blessing. If at all cleanup needs to be done, there is so much of trash in qcom at every level.
I understand now why i am getting ignored in my team lol.
End of May… does it mean that the company allowed one more RSU vesting… How generous it is… hope they allow the same to non volunteer folks impacted on April,,,
