Soft firing in Germany

An employee is neither given an increment (inflation is 10%) nor a bonus (the top level gets 50% and low level get 25%). One cannot move from one VP to another even if there is a position. If some leaves the company in Germany the job is opened in Spain or India.

The aim is clear, frustrate the employee so much that they leave. No need to pay severance and other allowances. Amazing isn’t it?

The problem with attrition only is that we end up with an organization designed by leavers and one one designed to deliver the business with cost in mind.

OTG was a growth and investment strategy… those areas invested in with expectation of growth should be revisited for divestment.

Of course they are looking for attrition, that is the only explanation of all the sh*t show that they are hosting in Germany, even the 25% bonus is a slap in the face to all of the people while the Dane got 16M and let’s see how much Bryan gets for destroying the brand….

To those who know (or pay attention) it’s been clear for around a year that the company has been glad to have attrition.

Some functional areas are probably in better shape than others, but I guess that in total, the company still doesn’t have the employee cost base they “want” to see.

I am expecting quite some big changes in the coming quarter. I can’t put my finger on what it might be….maybe we’ll see something at BKO.
