I hate to tell you this but Fritz said in a townhall video that HE decided to "bring in someone who had knowledge of PSR and how to use it to give our customers a better service product". Remember that statement? Now correct me if I'm wrong here but I believe Fritz is the chairman of the board. Wanna take a guess what the chairman is in charge of? Also what about these new hires classes. Are all locations at max capacity, or is that just something you want to believe and keep telling yourself? I'm guessing your one of the people that said no one would leave once the backpay went out. Have you accepted that you were wrong there as well or do you just believe that you're never wrong? People did leave when they got their backpay. Vena was not a bring people together type person. If Vena does come back, THEN PEOPLE WILL BE LEAVING! You can argue that point all you want, but if Vena does come back then you'll be proven wrong again.

Fritz didn’t make the decision to bring Vena in, the board did. The statement there are more people willing to leave than there are applicant is wrong also as each new hire class is at max capacity. Aliya just wishful thinking to say there will be a mass walkout and UP won’t be able to fill the jobs. The UP employees will never stick together on this as they haven’t in the past in anything. Just all talk and no action.

So people will just stay and not leave if Vena comes back? Does that count for the people that already left and didn't come back? What about the thousands of furloughs that were recalled and didn't come back? The last time I checked, there wasn't an angry mob of people desperately trying to get a job at the UP. Mutiny or not, there's more anxious people ready to leave than there are applicants. Vena and Fritz caused all of these problems, and everyone of those problems were avoidable. How many more people actually have to leave before more serious problems start occurring? I never hear the naysayers mention that at all. I always hear those people say most people are all talk or something like that. The UP doesn't have the people to lose as it is, and cutting more jobs will only add to the already huge problem at the UP. Fritz is being let go because of bad operational decisions surrounding PSR. Vena was one of those decisions. Vena coming back WILL have really bad consequences for the UP if the board doesn't wake up and wake up fast.

If vvena came back I think it would only be for a quick sign on bonus, some more stock, a huge salary, then he’d leave in short time. Investors hoping Vena’s name would get the stock to bump up again. You dont hire a demolition guy to rebuild anything. Its time to reinvest in the rail, rebuild, expand, and quit manipulating the stock.

1wzg-You are correct. It was sad to see how people folded and obeyed just because they thought it would protect their own job. Lost a lot of respect some people when I saw how they acted.

No, there won’t be a mutiny. The employees didn’t mutiny when they went without a contract for years, when PRS was implemented, when thousands were laid off, and many other instances. The truth is the employees cannot agree on pretty much anything and will not stick together when things are tough and the company knows this.

There's a very good possibility of that. People are fed up with what the UP has become. The UP is what it is because of the decisions made by Vena. The UP can't afford to have Vena there, and people aren't going to tolerate him coming back. It's that simple!
