It blows my mind, that management does not appear in the least to
understand how to run a business. In a world of 'cheaper, cheaper,
you must do it more cheaply', management seems completely oblivious.
Everything that has been done, except hiring people in cheaper
countries, has caused the cost of doing literally anything to
increase. Every choice made has been slower, more cumbersome, less
robust, and more expensive.
All of these poorly designed and deliberately added bits of friction
for things such as security, auditing and dead-d-mb automated testing
have made product development, support, internal communication and
documentation, slower -- and therefore more expensive.
