Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

Is RSU vesting applicable within the 2 month severance period?

Let's say for people laid off at Amazon in the upcoming April 2023 wave. Based on the Jan 2023 wave:

  1. If I understand correctly, employees remained on payroll for 2 months, but not working. Employees were able to search for internal roles using personal devices.

Question: Did that 2-month period in payroll include the benefit of vesting in RSU?

  1. When it stated that employees received 2 months of salary; for people who are receiving cash bonuses monthly (less than 2 years in the company), did the salary include a bonus as well or only the base salary?

I didn't get laid off, but wish I did! I could get a break and collect. This an awful company to work for.

I hear that any RSUs vested in the 60 days layoff period will be counted as vested.

Why does it even matter? Their stock tanked so much that even if you departed outright, you'd be better off with a cash bonus at the next employer PLUS getting whatever scraps Amazon gives.

The key is to LEAVE Amazon. Leave the tyranny. That's what they want you to do. It's a win-win.
