Since CGI layoffs are underway, anyone know what they're offering for severance pay depending on years of service?
Never mind that the CEO told the press in February that the company did not plan any layoffs, that on the contrary they wanted to take the opportunity to hire people...
I was at CGI Technologies in USA. Laid off 02/2023. Had been there perm 18 months.
Got four weeks of severance. Had to sign for it not to sue. They took taxes out of it.
It has to be signed after my last day of work and not before.
Which departments layoffs are happening ?
I was told you got 2 weeks for every year worked, capped at 8 weeks. I was capped at 8 weeks. There's no guarantee in the states for severance and fighting it is futile.
i just got laid off, i worked there for almost 3 years, so i got 3 weeks severance. But, i believe if this is a mass layoff, we are entitled to a higher severance
