Always start looking for another job if your manager does not like you and/or you do not see anyway to improve this relationship. PIPs work 2 way at GE and usually 99% of them, its a legal way to get you let go.

Hate to be so truthful, it is simply the reality. Either they like you or they don't. It really matters in today's professional workplace. GEHC culture has ALWAYS been like this. Good luck!!

Labor law attorney now. They can demand your HR file for starters and assess the situation. If you are in a protected class, etc. there are many actions to take. Currently involved with harassment issue due to new/rehire with bigoted view points they freely expressed in front of myself and were previously let go for.

What I have noticed is the people that get into these positions is to have control of others in a sick way like a bad police officer or a pedophile working in a children's daycare. At GE I have met only a couple of true good leaders over my many years of service.

What's really interesting about the Managers I had over the years, is that "many", and I mean, "many" had self-esteem problems. I think this was the case because they weren't quite sure how to do their jobs and it affected their job performance "dramatically"!

I agree with @3hnn+1lM9vPIw. See a labor attorney. If you are on performance probation, and your manager says you have good ideas, and he also says you don't accept his ideas, then consider just accepting what your manager asks you to do. Give it a year and see what happens. It sounds like your manager is trying to be clear with you. It is certainly possible to "graduate" from performance probation and even thrive in future years. It may feel like a two by four hitting you in the head, but at least consider that it might be a ticket to a better career. I've been there, and needed to swallow my pride while I figured out my job was to implement my boss's vision, not mine. Good luck.

Were you put on Performance probation during your review?

This is where GE sets additional G&O to meet to get you out of the dog house.

But as you say HR has legal process in motion.

Go see a Labor attorney to see where you stand.
