The new commercial brags about having pros in store to help in every department. Um - say what? We stopped incentivizing any sales folks with any real commission or spiffs, are grossly understaffed. No one is coming to us for true advice. why are they setting us up for failure?

Equity. The d-mbing down of America. Lowe’s is all in. Get rid of professionals with trade related backgrounds and hire iPhone warriors who were given participation awards growing up.
Get rid of the price changing maid service. What does MST actually do besides loiter in the breakroom?
Specialist should be eliminated. They have for most departments and should for the whole store. They are a waste of pay.

The newest pros advise you on which days are the best for dog walking through the aisles. The more experienced ones tell you the aisle for fido to drop a deuce in.

Lowe's got rid of Electrical Pros ,Plumbing Pros and Plumbing Specialist years ago .Almost all are gone after being demoted .Also what "Experts " work in retail ?
May as well call the place Melvin's. It's even funnier to listen to the ad on the PA system that says you can get good pay. What a joke.
Literally the most ridiculous narrative to push if you’re Lowes corporate. They know damn well they have gotten rid of the most knowledgeable employees ON PURPOSE. Nobody in the store knows a damn thing about plumbing or electrical. They don’t even know where something is on the shelf much less what it’s used for. As a former plumbing pro, appliance specialist and supervisor, I couldn’t be happier to have escaped that joke of an organization.
But the ASMs stay. Ever get the ASM who cant help the customer and directs them to the CSAs? That's if the customers can find them. Let's purge some of these glorified keyholders please.
Wait a darn minute now. I've seen quite a few new hires who aim to please. We got youtubers, tiktokers, websurfers, stallcreepers, and dont forget those awesome folks who sleep in their car on the clock. Please look for the positive! And remember Melvin called us HEROES.
