In my store 2130 colleagues are doing markdowns. RTW has their sh-t together. Men's is another story and it's a lot smaller than RTW.

Our division has stores that are in such bad shape that they have been designated "opportunity" locations. The stores have degraded so far that almost nothing is working. Freight doesn't get processed, between LOA's and open jobs, only half the manager jobs are filled, and reliability is terrible but no action is taken since we can't afford to fire these people or we will have even more open shifts.

There aren't any district teams to come help bail these stores out and getting people to come over from other stores is like stealing from Peter to pay Paul. The current business direction of ever less and less resources in untenable and doesn't look good for the future of the company.

When I am in a store working as a vendor, customers come up to me several times a day looking for help. Not enough people for sure, and Colleagues have a bad habit of walking away from the register wrapstand just before the customer approaches then we have to explain that we are not an employee and have to find someone for them. Happens way too much. Recovery and Fitting Room are important but have to take care of the customer first good or bad.

Oh don't forget besides ringing register, cleaning out fitting rooms, putting go backs away and putting out new merchandise i also have to play detective as well. I don't know how we've allow stores to be completely left twisting in the wind with no LP. Our Polo department has been hit so many times its ridiculous.

Aren't you happy that we raised the starting wage to $15 an hour everywhere in the company last year? Sitting in a workload planning meeting is the most fun ever, watching the SMM and OOM tell the CXM's that they need to be doing all of the markdowns, place most of the merchandise, and even do some of the signing. Can't wait for the Back to Basics training next month, I hope that the training includes how to make and use a magic wand Harry Potter style, since that's the only way this workload is going to get done on the hours they have us running on is a fantasy. Here is a list of the spells we will be covering during the training: Rodus Disapearum...Merchandiso Placio....ODS Selfsignaroo

Hal - Hey team! We must be agile since we right sized our workforce strategy. Sales have been soft, so let’s get to work!

When will we be laser focused to stop extending store hours for One Day (actual 3 day) sales and other sales like the VIP sale for this weekend? We are open until 10 pm both Friday and Saturday. Since we never have enough workers and we always have call outs, can be laser focused to drive customer engagement?

By streamlining, he meant cut hours. No more filling open shifts and everyone’s base is being reduced. It will be particularly rough for stores that have job openings because those are not being filled either. Good luck everyone!

It sounds like your store isn’t following ISM. 2130 colleagues are supposed to place truck, do go backs, and recover. If they are used for register coverage, that’s how the stores get behind.

One person on the whole floor.working open to close.. Ringing sales and returns and putting away product. Then they don't understand why customers complain. Every day there is a new concept....the sh-t keeps rolling down hill on to my head.
