We really need some of the industry analysts to dissect this place call Teradata.
So many directors, VPs, and ELT doing nothing but fake work.
Layoffs are a big sign of failure from management no matter how you look at it. Whether it's bad strategy, execution, incompetency, bad planning, you name it. And the mediocre band of misfit ELTs here have shown all these attributes.
These id**ts incompetency lead to continuous layoffs and a toxic, unproductive, wasteful, distrustful, political culture that will drive it into the ground.
Mgmt showing their lack of knowledge, experience, blah blah blah, would start so many work streams, every feature is a good feature, any talent is a hireable one and pay top $$$ for them at the expense of experience knowledgeable people that they push away.
So many people left in the past few years and they tell many stories of working on features and code but never got shipped. They were so frustrated because they want to do something meaningful but given fake work.
The ELT admitted that they are second tier and are on the job training. The fake work they undertake are all throw away and they were met with impunity when their bonehead decisions end up wasting years, millions, and thousands of talented people from the company. As long as they show up, do some fake work, get their paycheck, and bonuses for doing fake work with no revenue or real customer and employee satisfaction, they are golden... golden parachite that is ..
How does a company root out these mgmt people and bring sanity back to this once great place?
Imagine paying people big bonuses for running hackathons, diversity meetings, and short changing people that work on customer problems, deliver products, and guiding others to do real work.
