The railroads should go back to the old style axle journal boxes, where the carman fills each one. That way everybody knows the axle wont get overheated and cause a bad wreck.

The railroad is in the business of moving freight. Contractors are in the business of repairing freight cars.

Hopefully not, but unfortunately the railroad seems to be working on eliminating just about all jobs except management and engineers, so there’s that. Basically if you make the company by driving trains or you are a “dedicated to the company” manager then you’re safe.

I think they might of thought about it but after east palastine I think they will have to hire more. The FRA will be setting new rules on who can inspect trains
