Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Reverse stock split

Bbb will be asking for a 5 to 1 or even a 10 to 1 reverse split.
It dropped the 13% in after hours trading.
How low can they go before calling it quits?

Lmao. The company is being delisted next week. (12 days from today) the S&P 600 mid-cap already made this announcement so EVEN if it stays around a dollar it’s trading on the pink slip market.

How is a stock split possible when the stock isn't even worth a buck?

A stock split unfortunately signals a company is making one last desperate attempt to raise $$ and most investors won't even consider touching it

I'm glad now that I was forced out last month. No nothing for your 23+ years, but see ya around! Took me 2 weeks to find a dream job out of retail all together. After 50 years of working various retail jobs, all I can say is good luck to everyone still working and if you think you're still safe, better get out there and make your life a little better.

The whole process of how they are closing stores, letting people go and giving big payouts to useless people seems criminal. How do the board and higher ups sleep at night. Glad I’m gone from that place. I’m just watching it burn now.

I have been saying they may last until the end of 2023. I'm pretty sure they won't make it past the summer to be honest. This is the ultimate desperation move now. Lenders and vendors will be sure to stay far away from BBB.

Just a maneuver from getting delisted on the exchange

Unfortunately, the investors and employees will be the ones holding the bag at the end. I wish everyone luck finding a way out of this mess.

Actually down 17% after hours now. Would appear to be many walking away?

ATT did this once many years ago and the family had a ton of shares. It was 5 to 1 consolidation, and obviously voted through by the ones owning millions of shares.

I have refused to deal in stocks since. It is a false sense of value if your "fellow shareholders" can pull the rug out like that. Actually, it was a sc--w job. Note ATT just proposed the consolidation: it still had to be voted on.

It's just another attempt to artificially push the stock price higher, so Hudson Bay can sell their shares and pay Bed Bath their blood money.

it’s weird processing every new nail in the coffin; i was let go in sept; since then both of the stores i worked in, and other stores in the area that had people i knew and had worked with, have either closed or are closing. it’s weird because my mind immediately jumps to ‘oh no, how will this impact them?’ and then i remember, there’s no one left to be impacted…

I feel sorry for the employees still working at closing stores knowing there will be no severance. This low life company really knows how to stiff anyone. They have so many tricks up their sleeves and get to walk away relatively unscathed. I sincerely hope BBBY is put to rest permanently
