The company has been letting people go since the beginning of the year with not a word to the rest of the company. There is zero transparency here. They claim they can't find work for quite a few people around the nation. What has been your experience?

I had interviews with four different potential clients, all of whom were excited to have me.
One morning, I had a meeting with an account manager who told me I would start with COMPANY the following week.
Twenty minutes later, I was let go. Laid off. "You're just not bookable!" they told me.
The following week, I got an angry text from the account manager asking why I was not working with COMPANY.
"I'm not.bookable," I said.
I think more layoffs are coming. Their business development effort us really weak, and they have not been focusing on long term strategy but a short term needs to fill staff augmentation roles
