Hi, can someone please explain what these numbers mean?
Ex) grade 11/shoulder/7.8% raise/191% bonus.
The raise % seems self-explanatory. But what is a box, a grade, and a percentage over 100%? Practically speaking, what would be the dollar amount vs. salary for something like this? Thank you.
is there a raise for those joined Jan, 2023?
11/middle/4.5/150
Grade / Box / Bonus / Raise
10 / middle / 165% / 6%
13/middle/150%/4.45%
grade 11/shoulder/7.8% raise/191% bonus
13, Shoulder box, 5% raise, 157% bonus
All of us were just straight up robbed.
Folks who joined in 2022 were all verbally guided to expect 1.85+ by their managers.
Fact is that many of the people who work here dont have the drive to go anywhere else and will take what mgmt gives.
Someone folks like getting slapped on the face and act surprised.
If y'all were more concerned about getting your work done than complaining about your bonus, maybe the payout would be higher. By the way, CVX has much more talented and dedicated people than MPC.
Chevron paid early career employees $30k bonuses and their equivalent of a level 12 got $45k to $50k
You don’t understand the chevron comp system. That payout also includes a ding for a fatality at CVX.
MPC bonuses are a grade level or two lower than CVX
The rallying cry of MPC:
“Where else are you going to work in Ohio”
“At least you have a job - being unemployed is technically worse”
2nd one is debatable
“It could be worse”- the rallying call of MPC
Chevron paid 141%. Not sure where the every major paid 180% came from. Last year Valero did pay over 180%, their proxy statement comes out soon and we can all see where they landed then. Marathon has never been the highest paying refiner, but they are not too far off from Valero and P66. They at least gave a $4,000 bonus this year. It could be worse.
ConocoPhillips gave 3% raise and 150% of bonus. End of the day, companies just want to pay shareholders, not employees.
Wow - glad I left - 140% to 160% of target is atrocious given the year all refiners had
Friends at other refiners all got >180%
Think the majors mostly paid >180% too
Thanks for the input. I always got the full approved amount until this year.
Omaha Steaks?? Lucky!!
I got 16.1 month subscription to the Jelly of the Month Club, and a gold star to hang up in my cubicle.
I got 142% of an Omaha Steaks Ultimate Freezer filler package. They said they threw in some extra Apple Tartlets when we cleared $20 billion in EBITDA mark.
How much your boss and manager like you... Unless you're hourly than everyone gets the same thing.
What determines the % of bonus? I thought if 160% was approved everyone got 160%?
Grade / Box / Bonus / Raise
12 / middle / 140% / 3.52%
Best raise in a few years.
- 26%
Did anyone else get a travel size jar of Vas---ne with their comp statement, or was it just me?
I wonder what that's for.
