Everyone was told during the call to wait for an email within the next hour. Either one inviting them to their exit interview with a random team lead from their department (not HR) or an email with their next steps if they continue in the company.
Severance and care packages have been hefty thanks for Austrian law and general goodwill from the company. Still sucks--I was affected and seeing the look on other people's faces yesterday was gut-wrenching.
