What role at VMware is dumped on the most? I think mine is up there as we cater to sales people who make a sh*t ton more despite us doing more heavy lifting on the deals. Any other volunteers?

The easier jobs aren't necessarily easy to get. Seems like a club that protects their own so as to not shakeup up the work less make more culture.

SE by FAR!
Most CEs don't possess fundamental understating of what it is they are selling let alone the verbiage.

Being a sales development rep. You're too entry-level to be taken seriously and you work between multiple departments. If you don't have a strong manager, expect to have a rough time. AEs treat you like a personal secretary and have no problem calling you useless. Meanwhile, they can't be bothered to pick up a phone to build new business.
Being an se sucks! Try putting up with a blow heart CE , who at most can not sell their way out of a paper bag. They rely on various teams to make anything happen. And get rewarded by going to club. Yes SE’s get to go to, but many others should be in the CE’s place.
I have the same role with the same entitled sales reps who put in very little at best... There was a time when the VMWare rep would show up just to get a PO because our technology was niche but now that you have to hustle and work for it, the reps fold and dump all that work on other teammates and when the deals don't close they come up with all kinds of excuses on the QBRs.
Having been in a bunch of roles at VMW I would say PS. Constantly being pushed to be billable all the time even over utilized. Then get little to zero investment to make their lives easier or questioned on every expense.
I ran at 120% utilization for a half and then got told that my expenses were to high for a few random $60 dinners.
I worked several roles and the worst by far is PSO. Anything in PS really. Especially if it’s in EMEA under DP.
OP - If it's that easy, just move over into a position that "make a sh*t ton more" as you put it. For less "heavy lifting". There are always openings....
So you’ve worked in sales and see the day in, day out storm they need to work through to close deals to meet their target, the team target, the functional/geo target that’s reported to the Street. Those same targets that need to be met to pay bonuses for all non-quota carrying personnel. Having been in multiple sides, sales carries the biggest risks.
