For whoever have not impacted yet, it tells you prepare for your resume! Do Not stay for long because when you reach to 50+, you are tend to be let go and 20 yrs of good service only gets you 16 week which is the worst I’ve ever seen among big companies. Especially for PHDs. Company must be in trouble or short of cash to pay such worst package.
The severance is pittance, my heart goes out to all colleagues affected.
Chemistry, older age, 20+ years, model employee, was notified for only 16 weeks of package. 20+ years for 16 weeks. Nice, nice
