Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Upcoming Layoffs

The rumors are ramping up again at multiple layers that the next round of layoffs will come by June. Every round of layoffs creates more and more uncertainty with current customers but more importantly the potential new logos. I fear things are far too gone to save without some miracle… very sad situation to happen to what was once such a force in the industry.

“Another incredible Q1 23”?

Thanks for weighing in, diversity hire in Marketing, but Pteradactyl hasn’t had an incredible quarter for years.

I see the LT and ELT traveling around the world on business. So things are fine (otherwise travel budget is the first to get cut). We will have another incredible Q1 2023.

I don't think things are fine. The regularity of the layoffs is worrisome. Energetic growing companies don't do that on a regular basis. Even if you spot Teradata the last 9 months, they have been doing regular layoffs for much longer than that. If employees are supposed to be your most valuable resource, then Teradata has a problem. They treat theirs like they are disposable. All this while adding Vice Presidents like they are running out of style.

Everything is OK says the frog in a boiling pot. Enjoy for now because there's no future.

No, they’re not fine. It’s a slowly sinking ship and is almost past the point of no return. There will be layoffs all through the year as worthless management bu-t kissers flail away trying to actually do something. Won’t work.

These are at best Rumors, we could rewrite the OP with any other month of the upcoming year…

Things are fine.
