Thread regarding LivePerson Inc. layoffs

Something is coming....

  • Delayed bonus/merit talks
  • Delayed SEC Reporting
  • Quietness of management overall

Anyone have any intel? Smells like massive layoffs coming.

Rob Locasio is out of his depth, the lunatics have taken over the asylum. It's like the village fete is being organised by the village id--t. LivePerson always had good talent amidst the paucity of leadership, but the leadership has seen fit to sack the talent.

Did they let the employees know they were being let go or just cut off access?

Such a talented director, tech architect all were asked to leave in 2 hours before the qtrly announcement, Cost cutting was the reason!! piece of sh-t leadership. Vested RSU are locked. Dont recommend anyone to join this company ever.

I was laid off in July over my relatively underperforming male counterpart. LivePerson then tried to have me sign an illegal severance agreement. I lawyered up fast! My advice, have a lawyer review your severance agreement before you sign and agree to anything. They also didn't submit the correct information to COBRA and hence I had no health insurance options. All of the stress contributed to kidney stones, which I got to pass at home. Painful lessons, painful lessons.

A desperate attempt to become profitable; it will never happen. LP cuts some of the best talent and desperately tries to sell cheaper solutions as innovation. Contracts with LP clients are purposefully violated. When a large client finally has enough of the cr-p, LP tempts them with free service, but that just helps them offboard without paying any more money.

Their laying us long term US ppl off with years of experience and hiring in places like Bulgaria, WTH? So my position was terminated but then revived in Bulgaria??!!! Is this some play where they can hire someone for CHEAP in Bulgaria? And not have to deal with US laws? I dont get it.... Come on Rob! Was real nifty how your suppose to have your 1:1 with your project lead/mgr, and then you join and see a random HR person sitting there too, yeahhh, I knew right away what was about to happen!!! :/

I was an SDE 3 , over 9 years with LP and I got axed yesterday! 9 YEARS!!! 9 Years of my life GONE... I put blood sweat and tears into that company, and the thanks I got was being laid off!! SMH, shameful, and how could Rob allow the company to lose so much value over night? All my vested RSU's are WORTHLESS :/ And sucks to lose so many unvested RSUs too, smh, NEVER EVER fall for any company giving you unvested RSU's as a "bonus" for doing so good, its laughable at best!

Five sales people let go last year in Septembers cull with a combined deal value of $150m, in favour of people with zero sales value and zero experience to the business. The place is rife with nepotism and favouritism. No wonder it's on its knees. The poorest of leadership, this Emperor clearly has no clothes! Gotta love karma!! 😂

LivePerson? More like DeadPerson. Bunch of clowns running this circus. Seen more intelligence in a goldfish bowl.

Probably because Rob needed to buy another failing company. He’s a piece of sh-t CEO who has piece of sh-t ideas that fail and cost the company money.

A lot of layoffs today in different roles
and areas within the company.
People with more than 10 years in the company as well people with less than 2
This is the 3rd round of layoffs in 6 months (September 2022, December 2022, march 2023)

20% cuts across the board. Not just low performers. One-of-a-kind individuals are getting cut. Good luck to anyone still at LP after this.
