Full time is not guaranteed 28 hours anymore. New verbiage is ‘up to’ 28 hours. Part time is ‘up to’ 12 hours.
There are no guarantees in life.
Unfortunately it is true. It’s suppose to last for the balance of Q1. More than likely, hiring will be frozen. All open shifts are being deleted out of the system (Mon - Thurs). Colleagues will not be able to pick up any additional shift.
anyone heard how long the cuts (hours) will last? Seems like they do this every year until summer but who knows.
Any id--t that works full time at Macys for 28 hours a week and $15 an hr deserves what she/he gets. I mean,‘seriously if you are that desperate it’s probably because you can’t get a job anywhere else, let’s be honest.
The culture of Macy's has change drastically. It's not the same company anymore.
There are people still getting 40 hrs a week at my store PLUS some of these clowns that were seasonal are getting more hrs than me and I've been here 30+yrs really. Some of these id--ts can't tie their shoes by themselves but again they are given more hrs . But I am expected to watch multiple departments clean out fitting rooms play detective and get credits( good luck with 31.25 interest). I've been stuck at 28hrs for 2 months im shocked this isn't company wide. I don't know what the Union stores are doing with hrs
8 hours only guaranteed for part time, why bother? Good luck with that LOL. 28 hours not that good either, now with those hours are FT still eligible for benefits? Where is the Macys I used to know and work for?
The only guarantees in life are death and taxes.
