If I'm laid off on visa do I stay on payroll till severance paid out?

The number one strength of the layoffs is reducing the unnecessary H1B numbers. They aren't cheaper, but they are held prisoner. H1B is their detention time. Maybe we can have a real discussion about this now.

And seriously, you can consider going to the southern border. I have spent 1 month there waiting for visa about 15 years ago.
