Most social conversations are held in private discords, guild, telegram, and streamer chats. The audience started leaving TV around 2008 when identity politicking became the flavor du jour, and they went to social media. Now that the govt and corporate institutions have infiltrated those as well, people have moved on to more decentralized methods of communication and they'll continue to do so as they render legacy institutions irrelevant.

Make no mistake, this is a rejection of the elitist class that have spent the last 100 some odd years acting as gatekeepers of information and culture. Their status is meaningless and they don't have a fraction of the intelligence that now exists among the elite in the general population. It's a significant paradigm shift that is good for the common person but very, very bad news for communists who had made vast strides over the last century.
