I’m walking out with $25k in my pocket and my phone has been ringing off the hook. I didn’t realize how underpaid I was until I started putting my resume out there. I’m still sad and bitter about how it happened, but I think my former colleagues owe me that much dignity: to be happy for the opportunity I was given. I hope others in my shoes are able to see it the same way.
