I left Micron a few years ago. They pretend to care about employees with token "Waffle Wednesdays" and BS events like that. Then the management fosters and promotes toxic and abusive co-worker behavior even after HR and upper management was notified of issue by the entire lab. Management was scared to deal with toxic employee that had minority status (female). Micron management, grow a pair and do the right thing and protect your employees. I had a Micron manager actually tell me that abusive and toxic culture is by design. They believe that only the strong will survive abusive treatment and rest will leave. Well maybe I was not one of these strong people or maybe I have enough self respect and skills to find a better company to work for, which I did.

Its true, we have one such colleague in Sg site. She will hurl profanities, raise her voice and smashing her keyboard/table/notepad/whatever nearby but they still decide to see past her. Not like she is the best performer, its just that she is here almost the longest in the team. Like they are so afraid to lose 'history'. She is seriously dragging everyone down.
I work in Longmont, 100% true. HR and Director was notified by many about this person and culture. They did nothing. Those getting laid off, I realize it is a very stressful event but getting laid off at Micron could be the best thing that ever happened to you.
I would say it is toxic and abusive.
I would say it is cut throat competitive.
Missed on the promotion?
Did not get a raise?
Invested into the project and it got ki-led?
Constantly under resourced?
Any of this apply to you, just consider a change, take control of your life. It is all by will.
