I know most of you don't want to hear or accept this, but Zoom has too many employees. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just the first of many rounds until we drop down to a proper level (anything above 2k is too many). We need to go down to pre-pandemic numbers to be able to function properly. That's the cold hard truth.

Are freshers likely to be laid off or perhaps even get a pay cut? Heard from the grapevine that some freshers have a better take home pay package than most mid-level management. I am a fresher who started my career in Zoom since August 2022 and have a an-l retentive, lousy Indian manager who manages our team remotely from Canada. I hope he gets fired.
