They don't need to file a WARN notices if the severance package is more than 60 days. Technology companies like Micron have a lot to lose from employees stealing IP and disrupting product timelines after being informed they're being laid off. It's better to just guarantee a severance package that covers the gap. WARN notices only get used for stuff like factory closures where unskilled workers aren't in a position to compromise research and development or business strategies

Idaho isn't a WARN act state.
No WARN needed if "50 to 499 workers lose their jobs and that number is less than 33% of the employer's total, active workforce at a single employment site". I doubt they lose 500 at just the Boise fab. Technically Mask, Micron North and Crucial would be different sites.
