I have been in IT for 25 years, I was doing virtualization with midrange unix 8years before VMware was a thing, and worked for some very innovative companies, and some that could not change mindset and let their people lead.
My thought on Dell and innovation?
'There has not been a great product that Dell could not ki-l'.
Dell has a Manufacturing POV, not IT, and believe people are a dime a dozen.
I was talking to a select set of Peers last year that our engineering was under funded, has not vision, no executive buy in, and no clue what to do. Also keep in mind that a large subset of the legacy EMC product stack was sold to HCL back in 2020 just at the start of covid.
My only worry about dell is that I will join a new company with vision and innovation and we will be bought by Dell,
Dell=IBM dying slowly.
