Each store that is closing is now technically owned by the liquidator that bid for the store. They are in charge of making sure payroll and all other store operations are funded. The DM's are powerless!!! Forget rewards plus or any other id--tic cr-p they throw your way. The liquidators cannot afford store turnover because they have a deadline to meet as far as final days. Reference liquidators of circuit city time mag 2009. If you do not hear about a severance package by the end of week 2, inform your dm that you will be resigning as soon as you secure another job. Plan on mass call outs if there is no severance. Liquidators bear no responsibility for severance. And there will be none

They lied. Harmon could not make payroll last week so the liquidator covered it
We closed beginning of January..the liquidator we had did not own the product or had any control over those things. He earned a percentage of the total fixture sales and whatever his company paid him.
I spoke to the liquidator specifically about this and he said that they DO NOT own the stores. They have no stake in the payroll, utilities, etc. They were paid a base fee and we only hired them for their services at a fixed price. Not all stores are the same but our liquidator is currently in charge of 80 stores with that specific agreement.
Not true at all. Stop scaring people.
They do not pay utilities, but ok… you do you 🙄🙄🙄
Thank you!
not rent only payroll and basic utilities
So the liquidators are also stuck for utilities, rent, etc?
