Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

They are trying to keep you in limbo: both Corporate and Memers.

We never had someone act like a hall monitor on here before: why do you think that is? So memers can counteract the negative press the place has been getting and keep their flock in place when they play games with the stock, and BBBY lets them get away with it. They have used that MSM and Yahoo Finance "misdirection" cr-p to keep you working and providing the illusion that they need to keep playing the company like a beach ball. If you would see the foolish posts on reddit, you would see the totally ADOLESCENT ideas in full use. You need closure, and your reality is that you may not even get severance while memers make off like bandits just stringing things along. They KNOW the facts about the place but refuse to see them. I was one of you and see no reason for you to exaggerate. Do your own research on this. Due diligence.

Their audience is NOT you. Their audience is their cult. The performance is for them.

If you think corporate is blameless just look at what they did to the stock price with issuing more. Longs have to love this. Total manipulation and SEC should investigate NOW.

As for those of you fine people who never have been in limbo, you are now.

Agreed. The gist summed up is there is nothing derailing this train from going CH7. Every single day the debt grows more. The store closings are like trying to patch a 2 inch ho-e in a dam with bubble gum.

Gist of article is that they nearly had a mutiny at Union a few months ago when it became evident to many people that the company was going belly up. MT gets off a little bit easier, but then again, if he had "supply chain issues" getting OXO back in store, wouldn't he also have the same issues with the private brand stuff? (I mean- how much is made HERE, eh?) It's basically a self inflicted gunshot wound thing. It is in Yahoo Finance under "BBBY has nobody to blame but itself"

It's a coherent article to me. Even if it does let MT off a bit easy! They bring up stock buybacks at really bad times, etc. But judge for yourself, as always. I'm sure memers will insist on saving Gove!

What is the gist of the Bloomberg article?

I see someone discussing being in limbo on posts nearly every day elsewhere. Grown adults saying that as well.

Then why did you not react to the warnings if you knew this?

Nobody is keeping anyone in limbo. We are all grown adults who can make a decision whether to stay in a company that is financially unstable or not.
The writing on the wall was there years ago. MT just accelerate what we all knew.
