If I take a sick day then can they really lay me off? How can I get un-WFR’d by dodging it???

By now, IT will have loaded software that will detect if any data is downloaded or moved to private storage. Don't do it else face risking losing your severance and legal action
Yes, HR and/or your leader will reschedule it for when you return. Your last day will still be the same as everyone else impacted.
Join or not, your last day will still be the 10th. Any actions that violate the Code of Conduct could lead to loss of severance. Your choice; either way, it's no sweat off the back of the leader delivering the message to you.
The legal term is "in ausentia" meaning (not present). If you are on the list you can be fired with a disclaimer stating you weren't present for the official reading of the process (which you will be served and made aware of at a later date by certified mail). Your badge will stop working and your personal possessions will be boxed up and you'll be given a date in future to pick them up. You may lose any bargaining power if you don't sign their affidavit and agree to terms of WFR ( due to business needs to lower operating costs). Either way you lose. Just get it over with and find a better job or if 62+ just take early retirement.
Toobin said he didn’t realize his camera was on, and he apologized.
Have fun with it.
Get on the call, and once they start, stop them.
Say “let’s reconvene when I can have legal counsel present to act as witness”
Collective bu-t picketing commences.
Just get it over and move on with your life.
@1gak+1l2yKpNm Haha and they may hire you back like Jeff!
You could always pull off a Jeffery Tobin Zoom call with HR!
They will fire you for that !
You can take off they will call you to get on a call. I've seen it in the past.
Please try and give us an update! What do you got to lose?
