Thread regarding Salesforce.com Inc. layoffs

Mulesoft

Curious to know how Mulesoft fared in the latest rounds... particularly in the SE, AE space and in the US. Any specific product lines (Consumer, Financial, Fed, Science/Healthcare) get nailed more than others? I saw a lot of Mulesoft CS folks go down in the first wave; how about this latest round?

I could see IBM picking up MuleSoft for cents on the dollar. It's mostly Java garbage written by juniors who've only ever worked at MuleSoft, and never done integration work in their lives. All of the original staff have left, and calling their design/tech decisions trash would be a compliment.

Well done to the original investors though, that exit on such a poorly received and reviewed product was amazingly well done.

Yes, MuleSoft is hit badly in latest round. I wish we are divested out, but after this round of layoffs, it may not be possible to function independently any more.

Mule has never played the same game. I had the misfortune of wasting a year of my life there and they were actively promoting their own crud culture over SFDC. Which, whatevs but as someone who thought they were getting the Ohana orange koolaid (back when it was less tainted), it suuuuucked donkey ba--s. (Haha, mule ba--s.).

I’m just hoping to hear a couple orgs got axed and some people with them.

Although… it may be as satisfying if they got divested and had to run their own business again. There’s so much hubris in that org, it would be a long miserable death. Which might be almost as satisfying as knowing certain folks got booted.

Mule is not even playing the same game. They are worried Elliott mgnt will kick the entire unit to the curb along with Slack and Tableau where their equity will crash 90% in this market.
