NIGERIA....was a big deal....lots of ops managers lost there jobs and most involved were eliminated so as to sweep it under the rug. There was also a lot of interest in the SAP roll out when the company "sold" assets to a Cayman Island holding company and charged our international plants 150% of the original capex plan costs. Usually the PMG or Microline equipment remote build in traverse city and sent out direct were the culprits.
That went of for several years out of plant 0561 from Grand Prairie TX. Oh yea good times.
I don't remember the Bribery and Corruption courses, perhaps I was serving time at that period.
As much time as y'all spend complaining on here, yall the reason we can't get sh-t done. Get off yall as--s and pump some tools out. Boots on the ground, we need more people that are not scared to get their hands dirty and don't sit behind a screen all day watching Yellowstone and brokeback mountain. So sad they let go of alot of experience folks for some fancy spread sheets.
So embarrassed I once worked at this shxxhole
I did a bribery and corruption course with Baker in the 1990s. Learning to stuffing brown envelopes with bills addressing them to Nigeria management was my favorite part of the course.
Can't spell Baker without using bribery, corruption, mediocrity, and incompetence
Just Google “Baker Hughes bribery” and you will be given everything you need to know
Nope. They are saints
What about all those stories about wooden crates stuffed with $100 bills in Nigeria warehouses. And come to think of it, what the he-l happened to all that money ? 🐱
Pre-GEOG in Kazakhstan and maybe one other SSA nation. Massive fine for FCPA violations. Hate to think what the hit will be for sanction busting, but expect it to exceed any financial penalty imposed in the past.
"I know nothinggggg"
I blame the people working at Baker for this.
Plenty as I recall, was once hauled up by US Government for some dodgy dealings in Nigeria.
