Thread regarding Salesforce.com Inc. layoffs

Salesforce LIED .... it was never about productivity

.... the conversation was about "productivity" but it was a lie. Mark even had the nerve to share that 96% revenue came from 50% of Sales publicly but didn't share how they're measuring productivity. Why?........

If that was the case, then why were the top performers laid off?.....
Why am I looking on Linked In and seeing names of people that have history of high performance and tenure being let go? ......
Why weren't there opportunities for leaders to give feedback on productivity and those who were more valuable to the org? ...........
What kind of round robin business decision was this to lay of folks that were integral to the business and customers? ..........
It's almost like they threw names in a hat and picked up at random. No logical reason or connection in their business decision........

Truth is... Salesforce had to cut $5Billion+ if not more because of their own greedy ignorance.. AND the fastest way to reduce cost is to get rid of top performers and tenured people so they don't have to pay out as much. You mean to tell me not one person in that brainiac group knew that covid sales results should not be treated as norm????!! That it wouldn't go back down once the market settles??????

ALSO Productivity was just a bait and switch to get you into the office... trying to scare you because they got buyers remorse by telling you remote work is the new norm except its not when Wall street is asking questions.... The consulting firm Marc hired did this layoff like most do in the past. Find ways to cut staff to replace with lower costs assets who barely make their numbers but will drink all the koolaid and free coke zero... They wont say a word because they're happy dancing around with the raccoon and Hawaiian plants.....

Salesforce LIED TO EVERYONE... to their employees and customers.

I can't wait till this blows up in their face.... the employees deserved better than this. Laying off people by an email is a slap in their face who helped built this company ground up....

Just wait till the public finds about how dysfunctional the platform is and how every January... the end of year Honda sales tactics come out.... I was appalled when I realized....How SALESFORCE doesn't use even their own system for quoting and forecasting. How leaders use google sheets to track deals and quip to manage projects because Org62 is a f--------nightmare and slow as _______. How slack is a glorified chat messaging nitemare... another channel? another update? shove it.

Marc should really go to jail ... biggest con man of modern time.

I was a top performer and if questioned during interviews I will simply show them my W2 and recent pay slips. Everyone should download their pay slips. There is a reason that they cur off access to xactly. Let’s see how this plays out. I would recommend contacting a labor attorney to anyone expecting a large Feb check.

Though I hate the company for it's handling it, you gotta admit our systems are quite integrated compared to others.

I'm not sure where the first comment comes from, everyone knows forecasts and quotes are all done on salesforce crm org62, I'm not sure where the false info cones from.

it's human nature, we are all in it for ourselves. We knew this but people just got angry when they are affected.

Yes Salesforce is just about numbers. Customer success means nothing as they were the first to let go while being understaffed already, etc. These things we knew, Ohana is just PR, especially in the front line
