Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

PSP award

I’ve been with the company for over 10 years (currently JG4) and have never gotten share awards. After getting a higher rating for the first time, I asked my line manager about getting PSP and he brushed it off saying “it’s very competitive” for lower JG’s.

Is this true or am I getting the run around?? Very frustrating

Grants were 40% larger last year because share price was lower. Typical range applies for 2023 PSP

Jg5 - 10% 100 shares
Jg4 - 15% 200
Jg3 - 33% 400

As a jg4, you're more likely get a Sony PSP than any PSP shares, unfortunately.

Your manager is correct....it is very competitive for JG3 and below. But for JG2 and above, however, the vast majority of employees receive PSP shares.

When I was JG5, it was only 100 shares as well. As a JG4, it was something like 2.5X....around 250 shares, if I recall. It was definitely more than 200. So as a 3, I ma sure it will be well north of 300.

Does anyone know the share grant for each JG when awarded PSPs?

When I was a JG5 (now a JG3) I received them once, share grant was 100 shares.

There is a set percentage awarded at each JG beginning with JG5. ,

I do know that JG5 is only 15%. Not sure about 4 or 3.

JG2 - about 80% get them

JG1 - about 90% get them

So basically if you don't get them as a JG2 or JG1, that means you are a poor performer.

For JG3,4, and 5 , managers tend to use them to reward good performers if they are unable to give them HIGHER ratings i.e. managers rarely give anyone BOTH PSP shares and a Higher rating in the same year

I've gotten PSP awards for the past five years as a JG4. I've been consistently rated higher every year. I think 15% of JG4s get them each year. It's in the pay policy.
