Many have asked about severance benefits. It’s pretty straightforward and simple. With the exception to 401k whatever you had set up on your last day of employment is what you’ll have through the end of your deference. My personal situation. I had medical, dental, vision, Hyatt legal (idk why lol), 401k. My severance runs until the end of July. So I’ll get biweekly checks like regular payroll until then. The only thing you can adjust is the 401k amount everything else will come out automatically. Nielsen will send your check stub out biweekly as well. Remember not to update your social media if you land another gig or whatever you do don’t go back to Nielsen if they offer. I’ve got an offer to go back I declined. Your severance will be forfeited if they find out your working during your severance or you return to the company. No lies. Someone also asked why you can’t work for iQ well, when they were sold it was in the contract. As far as working for a client; that’s kinda self-explanatory lol. Hope this helps. Be safe out there. The job market is not that bad honestly just make sure your resume is updated and your tapping into your network for help and referrals. Avoid tech at all costs. Look at healthcare, consulting, education, etc., Avoid Indeed and LinkedIn when applying and go to the career site directly or use zip recruiter. I got an offer and start a new gig paying 25% more in two weeks (of course Nielsen won’t know that lol)

Not saying it’s not true but I’m watching my fidelity and can see the deductions. I also emailed my PXP partner directly and got a screen grab of my check stub in advance. Honestly it depends on the one you have. Some are straight a-s. If the 401k thing is true, great. I don’t care to have it anyway honestly. I dropped it down to %1 and changed my exemptions the night before because I knew the layoff was coming the next morning.
My HR partner told me that 401k would stop and it also stopped the other benefit of my auto insurance payments coming out automatic deductions. I haven't seen a pay stub yet I've requested them but my PX partner told me the only thing that will remain coming out during the severance period is the health benefits.
