The writing's been on the wall since Microsoft started licensing Power BI Pro at $10 a seat per month five years ago.. It's literally lipstick on Excel with adapters to seamlessly connect to any data source with built in credentials, and I bet there's a lot of people within Salesforce who doesn't eat our own dogfood because everyone knows Excel and screenshots of free PowerBI are "good enough" for most purposes, and is way ahead of Tableau as the leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant and of course SAP, Microstrategy, Oracle, SQL Server, and even Excel all have data visualization, analytics, and reporting capabilities all their own.
There's absolutely no reason to spend any development dollars except for In India at a small fraction of the price.
