I know there were some layoffs this week, but there is little to no info on the scope. Can anybody please share more info on what happened? How many were laid off and if more can be expected in the coming week or two? I know there's gotta be at least one kind soul who's willing to share.

They're always recruiting in India though, hiring new grads, while laying off. Not a stable place to work for.
I had interview with them in June 2023, so they're still recruiting (tech).
Any layoffs done in CSD service line?
The layoffs will continue. We are only allowed a certain number of people on the bench and once it is exceeded, we have to lay those people off. But they can send all the execs to Cancun for a kickoff? Ok….
I was laid off the same as the other replies 6 Jan 23. There were 53 lay-offs in the ABL DCX. I was on the bench as well. I was an easy target because I had just returned from a not paid leave and went right to the bench. They offered a month severance but no one at ADP knows anything and the separations team doesn't respond to emails.
I was laid off from Capgemini on Jan 5th. I was expecting this, considering the bench time.
My advise for the whole year 2023... Avoid Consulting and look for full time, regular jobs within industries/companies that were relatively stable during the Covid turmoil (stay out of out of Tech, Retail, Hospitality & Entertainment). Don't fall for the money attractiveness of consulting. This is the year to be conservative, keep a job, and have a life. Once the economy starts improving (hopefully by early next year) then it will make more sense take more risky career bets. Wishing you all the best!
I was laid off from the Nashville delivery center on 1/6/2023. 2 days ago. I was hired in march if 2022. They said it wasn’t performance related I just had to much bench time.
I asked if this was due to market down turn and if Cap would be doing more layoffs. The HR person wouldn’t give any specifics but did indicate that Cap would have to reflect the market and noting it had declined since this summer.
I would guess, especially in Nashville which is a new delivery center that is having issues staffing folks, that there will likely be more to come. I had heard through the grape vine that this could be possible since there was rumblings that folks in other business lines have been laid off. I got a random HR “business update” meeting put on my calendar and that was that.
I don’t have any hard feelings as it should be expected in the corporate world that they don’t have any loyalty to workers in their first yr or two in the company.
I will say being laid off by an HR person and your business line lead, both of whom wouldn’t even turn on their camera on MS teams, is pretty weak. Almost cowardly imo. Alas that’s life working for a company that employs 300k plus employees.
Which geo. Two of my cohorts were layed off
