Just keep in mind that most job are found by networking with friends, co-workers, school alumni etc. Being supportive of co-workers during the "tough" times will pay dividends in the future and most likely your managers will be reward it as well if you survive the cuts. If not, I hope you have a few dollars in the bank to survive until you find another job.
Best growing opportunity happens in earlier stage of life.
New grad are the least impacted group. I assume you do not have home loan, kids to raise. So not too bad.
I had a layoff when I was a fresh grad (international student). It was a short but hard phase. But, if you learn to persevere and start controlling things you can, you will come blazing strong from the layoff (if it happens). Start focusing on preemptive preparation to take interviews while doing your best at work!
It will make You thick skinned..Never say die.
