Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Your experience with training others?

My energy is totally drained. I am training a person who quite obviously has no motivation to learn and grow his skills, but who will probably replace me...

All service techs should be seeking to unionize with the IBEW. A few branches in Canada and some in the states are unionized. Contact your local IBEW office.

Don't train your replacements. I noticed a few months before my magic day that my half assed untrained hack of a manager was asking me to do the same.

I am in the same situation and had to train 2 people this fall. Would be foolish of me to teach all I know as I don’t want to be let go. Knowing this company they would let me go anyway due to some terrible management in my area. One of the two is doing good and working other accounts so not concerned there. The other one not so much but keeps getting second chances so looks like we’re stuck with that CE unfortunately. Whatever it is what it is. If they let me go I won’t be sad.

Just give out basic info as needed. It sucked but it was the only way I could sleep knowing
They probably won’t survive.
