Only 4 stores are closing this year dummies. Leases are only up Dec 31st of every year and the owners give you 90 days to vacate, hence G-B’s ending 3/31.

Look for the new store closure list in the first week of January of 2024 dummies.

There is going to be a summer list. The Livingston, NJ store will be on the list. The lease on that building is expiring.

Of course there are going to be more closings. I'm suprised my store in Southern California is still open.

I'm fairly certain COVID changed their initial plans for 120+ stores to close. There would've been many more closings if that were still the case.

So it was announced in 2020 that over the next three years 125 stores would be closed. Does anyone know the total of stores that have been closed or closure has been announced so far? Definitely more announcements are coming. I bet after inventory we will hear of more.

I'm sure there will be more to report after inventory.

Gotta be more coming. That Sunrise Mall in New York? Livingston, NJ?? (I think that’s the one…I know at least one in NJ is on the ropes).

Heard rumors of one getting ready to close in Massachusetts. So this says nothing.

This list is a joke. Either that or they are waiting til Summer??

Honestly surprised there aren’t more closures but not to say there won’t be more later this year. 3 of the 4 listed now are not a surprise. There are multiple locations in the LA area but thought that might stay open.

“If this is all Xmas was a lot better than expected. Guess all those Millennials and Gen Z folks slumming in Mom's basement thanks to COVID panic pr0n meant extra money for the holidays.”

The Los Angeles location at first shocked me. However, I guess it’s located in an area where there are any other stores nearby.
The other three I expected to happen anytime.

Gaithersburg is closing because the mall is literally being demolished this year. This one isn't a surprise to anybody in the local area.

Yeah, cause all those young Millenials and Gen Z can't wait to run straight to super kewl MACY'S to spend those extra holiday bucks.

For now.....y'all gotta remember, the company can close several stores later this year. I could imagine that these stores did not have to do inventory! ...why am I drawing a blank on the quote from "The Hunger Games" ? Haha
