Thread regarding Salesforce.com Inc. layoffs

Let's take a vote - Odds of getting laid off Q1?

In Mule sales org for longer than 95% of reps. Top performer and never missed for entire tenure except for recently where I am likely to be between 50-75% on year.

What does the collective think? Start looking?

Everyone should always have an updated resume and you should always be looking in case something better comes along. Being ready requires constant work and strategy. Under the current climate, I expect more folks will leave.

Can someone with less tenure (i.e. cheaper) do the same job for less? If so, start looking.

If you're making it rain in sales that means you're supporting a lot of others' jobs and aren't going anywhere. Thing is, selling services, oil rigs, rocket parts, or even mobile phones isn't all that different. If you can speak techie well enough to fake it, you're going to make it.
