There's no way they can expect us to continue doing the same work with half people. It's inhumane and impossible. If that's the case, then I wish I was laid off. I'd have rather left with severance than stay and double or triple my workload for - let's be realistic - no increase in pay.

Sounds like your self important ego is crashing to earth for the first time in forever. You've been insulated from the real world for too long. You are a cog in the wheel, nothing more, nothing less. Good luck finding another gig where your ego can be constantly stroked so you don't have a panic attack
Let's be realistic: you work for Salesforce. Salesforce does not work for you. You are free to leave whenever you want.
