Thread regarding Kroger Co. layoffs

Where is the Senior Leadership team?

Serious question: where is the senior leadership team?

Employees are required to come into the office five days a week, yet it’s rare to see Directors, VPs, or SVPs in the Blue Ash buildings. Are they held to the same in-office expectations as everyone else? If not, what are the expectations? Can our CIO give direction to the entire KTD?

If leadership believes office presence is important enough to mandate, then employees should be able to see that leadership is present as well.

@jq never once have I had a lunch provided at a lunch and learn. If we have a lunch and learn we bring our own packed lunch to the meeting.

@fw to top it off why are there always lunch and learns and provided lunch for people at the office but nothing for remotes? I'm tired of hearing the excuse "well, you get to work from home" - That's not my issue, take it up with Greg

Start submitting anonymous ethicspoint complaints. How is it acceptable for them to say we need to be in the office but those that do the same job don’t?

Literally 1/3 of my vertical are remote and many are critical engineers and architects. KTD will not be able to mandate WFH for long, it will gradually get better but expect it to be a very slow process and no official announcements.

I haven't seen or heard from Jim Clendenen in months, he proceeds to mention the word AI over 25 times in the first 3 minutes of his All Hands meeting. They then proceeded to show off a few vibe coded Excel workbooks (more in-stock solutions at that...we've been trying to figure out in-stocks for a decade!) and dashboards.

If this is innovation, we truly are doomed.

This is a great question! We are mandated to be here to take Teams calls from our cubicle while leadership never leaves their homes.

I would also love to know the criteria for being remote since that seems to vary depending on who you are.

The most consistent in person interaction I have is saying hi and bye to the security team.
