Or is it done throughout the year and is person-based? We had a PIP season in my last company, and it was seldom related to performance. I'm just wondering if it's the same here.

@ja so what's stopping you ?
Money ? LOL
@bz what an i_iot. Wish I could hand over few quids or buy you some furniture. Parass_ite
@bz IBM has so many of these chairs they could easily be considered cast-a-ways.
But no, Arvind would rather send them to the landfill, on some flimsy pretext or the other.
Success! My heist of an expensive ergonomic chair from an IBM conference room went without a hitch! As some of you might recall, I took it home in pieces to avoid detection. I have reconstructed the chair and now it sits next to my home desk. Just lovely! I wish I could post a picture. I hope this demonstrates to all that with planning and hard work (mind and hand), you can accomplish anything. And with the increase in PIPs, IBM has even less need for so many conference room chairs. I hope some of you will take advantage of these giveaways.
@bh because they are getting rid of so many with PIPs?
But no layoffs will occur in 2026
PIPs used to be more common after employee reviews but with IBM climate change it's always PIP season now.
@OP Yes, the specific period starts on Monday and lasts until Friday except for IBM holidays. PIP is the de facto termination process here now.
it seems extra heavy after annual and mid year review but can be any time at all at IBM.
Where is here?
