Compliance with “in the office” requirement

Are all employees showing up in the office on required days? Heard that last year that compliance with work from office policies was poor at some companies. Even 3 days a week in the office. It is hard to believe that management put up with this nonsense. It is time to crack down on workers doing whatever they want to and expecting to keep their jobs.

The nonsense of not showing up at work when you are required to.

OP:

Hard to believe what exactly? That people are granted the freedom of adults to be productive from home and in the office. We live in a market economy. When the supply of jobs available exceeds the demand for them, employers must compete directly with other employers and create incentives for talent to fill these positions. Micro-managing is NOT an incentive.

Most I know do the work life balance and are in the office the three days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It works really well in my group, plus we can allow for WFH if needed for one of those days as long as it does not become a habit, so a lot more flexibility. Add in the 9/80 and this is really a nice schedule for our team.

Most people are showing up for the three days a week in the office and are also clearly working from home as expected on Mondays and Fridays. The work is getting done and is getting done well. The BWP is working great by all available metrics.
