Ahh, so that is why we changed from Cisco VPN to Zscaler.
I may be just an engineer among many, but the company's competitive advantage and success are ultimately built on the products, systems, and innovation created by engineers, yet it feels as though connections is the most important qualification for reaching the higher positions and reaping the rewards of everyone else's efforts. This is not the first case. Prior examples are many, just to list some of themsuch as Bengali hiring Bengali DE, Tamilian eng SVP hiring Tamilian Sr Director, a lot of VP positions filled from msft connections etc.
