MIP for PH was 70% which is crazy given the BU is a growth driver for Medtronic overall.

Of course not even though Medtronic leaders keep telling us to take risk and work like a start up.
Thats the ironic rub - they put insane targets on the few decently growing companies to justify the spend, and then if those companies miss by a bit, their MIP tanks. Meanwhile slow growth companies that target 2% growth get 2.5 and they are heroes. MDT does not reward risk takers or people who are given more complicated or challenging roles.

We will never get 100% MIP. Medtronic leaders won't allow it. They will continue to set unrealistic expectation.
You do realize that some of that MIP is going to go into the pockets of Elliot as otherwise they have lost their shorts and so in order to keep things afloat, part of our bonus is probably being sacrificed.
Hard to see these with announcements like best results in10 years. I know there are various factors but still hard.
