The Wall Street Journal evaluates how leading US corps stack up in 6 areas: AI readiness, innovation, talent readiness, financial fitness, resilience and agility.
FactSet ranks #473 overall with an Overall Score of 34.4, one of the weakest results among the companies you listed. This is striking because FactSet has positive pockets: Agility Rank #102 and Talent Readiness Rank #116 are both respectable. AI is also not disastrous at #195.
The collapse comes from Resilience Rank #497, near the bottom of the entire 500-company table, plus weak Innovation at #359 and Financial Fitness at #339. That profile is unusual for a data and analytics company. The strategic implication is that FactSet may have a reasonably capable organization, but the WSJ model is not giving it credit for broad future-readiness. It screens less like a platform compounder and more like a specialist information vendor with structural or methodological weaknesses in the resilience factor.
